About the Divine Name King James Bible and how it restores God's name.

What is the Divine Name King James Bible?

It's the 1769 Authorized King James Version with God's name restored as Jehovah where the King James printed LORD or GOD in small capitals: Jehovah 6,973 times and Jah 50 times in the Old Testament. It includes a concordance of every Old Testament restoration.

Is anything else in the King James text changed?

No. Apart from the name and the cross references that go with it, the wording is the unrevised King James Version.

How is the name handled in the New Testament?

The King James wording stays. In 128 places where a New Testament verse quotes or refers to an Old Testament verse that has the name, Jehovah appears in parentheses with the Old Testament reference, for example Matthew 4:10. More

Why Jehovah and not Yahweh?

Jehovah is the form the King James translators used in Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2 and Isaiah 26:4, and the form English Bibles have used since 1530. Using it keeps the text consistent with the King James Version itself. More

Who publishes it?

The Divine Name Publishers, a private publisher. It isn't affiliated with or sponsored by any religious organization, and it wasn't produced at the direction of any church.

Which edition is current?

The Second Edition, published in 2015: a paperback of 888 pages, 6 x 9 inches, ISBN 978-1-5136-0146-5. The first edition was released in January 2011.

Can I read it online?

Yes. The full text is online, book by book and chapter by chapter, with the restored name in bold. More
